James Roos, Founding Director
MDiv, Concordia Seminary, 1970 Jim founded Neighborhood Enterprises (NE) in 1971 and Sanctuary In The Ordinary (SITO) in 1990. He was president of NE, which managed buildings for SITO and for private owners. In addition to being a SITO board member, he is a volunteer employee. Since his retirement from NE in 2018 he has educated himself on the providers and users of affordable housing and other services, and has developed a strategy and business plan for the rebirth of SITO. |
Jeff Buck, Executive Director
MS, Mechanical Engineering, University of Michigan, 1995 BS, Mechanical Engineering, Purdue University, 1988 Jeff and his wife Greta moved to St. Louis in December of 2019 after spending four years working and living in Munich, Germany. Prior to moving to Germany they lived in SE Michigan where they were very involved in non-profits that served those in need. In 2021 Jeff joined the SITO Board of Directors and soon became the President. In 2022, after a 30 yr career in the corporate world, Jeff decided to make a change and became SITO's first employee and its new Executive Director. |
The Rev. Dr. Teresa Mithen Danieley, President
BA, Yale College MPP in Nonprofit Management and Poverty & Inequality, University of Chicago MDiv, The General Theological Seminary DMin, from Eden Theological Seminary Board member since January 2020 An Episcopal priest, Teresa serves as the St. Louis Champions Organizer at Missouri Jobs with Justice. Before joining the MOJWJ staff, she served for over 11 years as the pastor of St. John's Episcopal Church in St. Louis and was the founding co-chair of the St. Louis Faith Labor Alliance. |
Anthony D’Agostino, Vice President
BA and MA in Theology/Philosophy, Saint Louis University EdD in Educational Leadership, Saint Louis University MA in Public Policy Administration, University of MO-St. Louis Board member since January 2020 Anthony D’Agostino has served St. Louis’ nonprofit community for his entire career, continuing his simple but important mission of “improving our community by helping neighbors in need.” Before joining St. Patrick Center as CEO in 2020, he was Executive Director at Criminal Justice Ministry. Prior to that, he was Chief Programming Officer at Springboard to Learning and began his career at Incarnate Word Academy. Anthony serves on the board of the Behavioral Health Network and Sanctuary in the Ordinary. He is also the Chair of the Board for the Continuum of Care – a membership body that promotes systems to end homelessness. He lives in University City with his wife and two sons. |
Lucas Delort, Treasurer
Master of Social Work, Washington University, 2016 BA, Magna Cum Laude, Urban Studies and Psychology, Washington University, 2013 Since 2016, Lucas has worked on property acquisition, rehab, tax credit projects, and asset management with Lutheran Development Group, Rise Community Development, and Twain Financial Partners. He currently works full time as a Project Manager for Rise. He has been a volunteer or board member with Northside Community Housing and Dutchtown South Community Corporation. Lucas is currently a board member of the City of St Louis Continuum of Care. |
Christina Syberg, Secretary
Associates Degree, Psychology Board member since 2022 Christina Syberg is the Director of Operations for Criminal Justice Ministry where she maintains overall compliance and management of grants, which allow CJM to provide affordable housing and resources for those impacted by incarceration. She also sits on the board for Laughing Bear Bakery, who focuses on employment for post-incarcerated individuals struggling to find work due to their background. |
Irvin W Hamilton
Construction Building Trades, Jarvis Christian College, Texas B. Architecture, Southern University, Baton Rouge, LA Board member since January 2020 In Columbus, Ohio, Irvin worked on graphics and as a construction inspector for the city. He has been a construction manager for the St. Louis Community Development Administration since 2001. Irvin is an advisor to several north side community organizations. |
